Aquilar, founded in 2000, has become the number one partner for the world leading TraceTek leak detection system formally invented and manufactured by the Raychem Corporation before being merged into one of the many products and services offered within the Thermal Controls business. Aquilar is a provider of world leading leak detection technologies for detecting water, fuel, chemical and refrigerant gas leaks. Aquilar has a highly trained and knowledgeable team, specialising in TraceTek and AquiTron leak detection systems.
Finding one manufacturer did not offer a solution for all applications. Aquilar embarked on a customer focus programme, talking to many specifying engineers and customers asking what other products were required. Development then moved forward and the AquiTron range was created. R&D continues today to create new products and solutions to solve customers’ challenges in order to meet new and changing environmental/sustainability needs. This also ensures we continue to meet the changing ME & P standards within the building industry.
New and improved products have been introduced to help customers achieve BREEAM Wat 02, Wat 03, POL 01, F-Gas and many other industry safety standards.
Aquilar prides itself on the level of service provided to its clients offering step-by-step guidance and delivering the most effective solution for each project. A team of dedicated professionals can assist with design support, schematics, technical submittals and quotations through to delivery of the leak detection system as well as product support to complete the project to the highest standard.
Whilst Aquilar do not install leak detection directly, it does have a number of highly-trained installation partners around the country to ensure all systems are completed and maintained to the client’s specifications. Based in Broadbridge Heath, Horsham, West Sussex, Aquilar also benefits from ample warehouse space to maintain excellent stock levels, providing off the shelf systems, for all projects.

TraceTek has been the most reliable and accurate liquid leak detection system for commercial, industrial and environmental applications for many years.
A leak detection system may be installed and operating continuously 5, 10, 15 years before being called on to provide the earliest warning of a leak. And after all that time, the system must operate perfectly, providing positive detection of a small leak, and accuracy in the leak location. There are few systems in any facility that must perform as well as the leak detection systems, and even fewer tasked with protecting the most critical systems and equipment.
